Tips and career/job opportunities in the shooting, hunting, archery, and sportfishing Industries.

The job numbers from last month were terrible. The economy has been incredibly tight and it’s an election night. However, our industry is still out there, still filling jobs and still delivering product. We believe in this industry and we believe in all of our subscribers. We know you all need us as a resource to find the jobs that you all are looking for within our industry. Let’s try and keep each other positive as we finish out the rest of this year. |
We have all been jacked up over the election and the good news is that over the next couple of days all of this election stuff should be shaken out by the time we produce our next newsletter. Come January, when all of these individuals are stepping into office it is going to be up to all of us to hold these politicians accountable to we the people. Elections are just one day but anyone holding office should be held to a high standard by all of us and we should never let them forget that. I am going to step off my soapbox tonight and I hope you all have an amazing week. |
Last week, we talked about updating your LinkedIn profile and this week we should talk about networking. Our industry has several industry group pages and companies that have very active profiles on LinkedIn. Join these pages, follow the companies that you believe in and connect with as many connections as you can on this platform. Connections and conversations with connections are what lead to opportunities. I am always willing to connect with folks in this industry and if I can help my connections I make the effort. If you can do the same kind of networking with your connections I promise it will lead to opportunity. |
Have a great week out there and give yourself time to breath. |
