Outdoor-Hive Newsletter #68 December 17, 2025
Tips and career/job opportunities in the shooting, hunting, archery, and sportfishing industries. These are the opportunities that will grow your career and grow our industry.

As I wrap up this year, look back, and begin my planning for 2026, I am filled with excitement and a little nervous energy. It’s been a hard year for our industry. I am not going to sugarcoat it. Looking at the entire industries of shooting, archery, hunting, and sport fishing, I believe after talking with manufacturers, marketers, and retailers that sales are down across the board. Change is happening and we cannot deny it. Whether you want to blame the administration, tariffs, the economy, the lack of fear in our market, or any number of market factors, the end results are less product is being sold and less jobs are getting filled at the current moment.
However, it is not all doom and gloom. When these kinds of down ticks happen in the market, companies that survive get better and tackle the industry head first. As an individual looking for work in this industry, now is the time as a candidate you are going to have to really work hard to chase down every lead you can find and network your way into interviews. The next two weeks of follow-ups are going to be few and far between, but try and have as much patience as you can.
We are at 68 weeks of providing this resource to all of you, and we are closing out the year with this last issue. We will be back on the ground with our next edition on January 7, 2026 where I will hit the send button from the floor of the Archery Trade Association show floor. We have some tremendous plans for 2026 with our humble little newsletter, and I cannot thank all of you for the inspiration and the continued readership each and every week. I hope all of you have a tremendous holiday season and a safe New Year celebration! If we can help you at all, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at [email protected]
Have a great week and THANK YOU for being a part of the Outdoor Hive.
