Outdoor-Hive Newsletter February 12, 2025

Tips and career/job opportunities in the shooting, hunting, archery, and sportfishing industries.

It’s been a wild week. This is the week where I normally get super overwhelmed. True to course, it is right on track. It happens every year right out of SHOT to about 2-3 weeks after the show. I have a ton of follow-up work to do. I have folks who are following up with me, and my email box gets crowded. As well, my magazine issue goes live this week, it’s snowing and will be snowing all night long, so there are driveways that will need to be shoveled in the morning. I state all of this just so you all know, I feel it — just like I assume most of you do on certain days. It is even harder when you are looking for a job or a career change.

I remember reading that if every person laid all their problems out on a table, and everyone got to see everybody else’s problems, they would still choose their own problems to take home at the end of the day. The point is, we all get overwhelmed. We all have moments of stress and the only way I have found to deal with any amount of stress is to go through it with a little bit of action every day. When life gets super crazy, keep doing things, keep moving forward… sometimes one day at a time, heck sometimes one hour at a time.

Ultimately, I know I am very lucky. I have a great wife, a great life, and I have the ability to move forward each day. I hope the same is true for all of you and I hope our little newsletter is going to help you to move your life forward. We have some great job listings for all of you in the newsletter this week. Take action and apply for the jobs you are interested in and if you land a great position from our newsletter we want to hear all about it. Be safe out there and have a great week.

Please share this newsletter with anyone looking for a career change, new employees, or a new opportunity.
