Outdoor-Hive Job Seekers Newsletter Week Three
85.71% of you read our email last week and growing a newsletter is all about creating the content that we know our readers are interested in. In just a few weeks, we have gone from zero to hundreds of subscribers. That’s why we enjoy putting this weekly email in front of the entire industry. In just a few weeks, we have also had some great talks with quite a few folks we know in the industry and having the conversations/making the moves to grow.
While we are only three weeks old, between the two of us we have over 50 years of experience in this industry. We have walked the aisles of ICAST, ATA, NRA, SHOT and the conservation shows our industry is known for. We have grown in the industry to our current roles specifically because of the people and the community that truly is our industry. For the two of us, it has always been about relationships. It is the connections we have created for ourselves as well as the connections we have been able to help our friends make inside the industry that have enhanced our career.
We specifically chose to create Outdoor-Hive, because we know so many folks who have worked in our industry and they never want to leave it. The shooting, hunting, archery and recreational fishing industry is a large group of companies with a small number of employees — compared to other larger industries. Individuals are attracted to our industry specifically because they want to work closely to the things that they are passionate about, whether that is fishing, hunting, archery, shooting, or a combination of them.
For our industry to grow and flourish, it will only happen if we can continue to attract and keep outstanding people to work in the companies that are a part of our industry. We all know great people who work in this industry. We all know people who want to work in our industry. We all know great companies that need more people. If you believe in this industry like we do, we need your help to share this with the people you know.
