Getting a career position is like a lot of things in life, you have to ask for the opportunity if you really want it. I’m a walking example of learning this lesson both in business and in my personal life. When I was 18 years old, this beautiful young woman would walk by me in the hallways of my high school and I would always say “Hello.” I never once asked her out on a single date. In fact, we did go on our first date until we were 42. I learned that if I had asked her, the odds were in my favor. Luckily, being her husband is without question the best career move and the best decision I have ever made in my life.

In business, I excelled in all of my roles because I never hesitated to ask for the next great opportunity. When I got to roles where it was my job to work with, coach, and mentor up and coming coworkers, it was without question the ones who asked for more opportunity that grew over those who never asked for advancement. I made it a habit of letting all of my team members know that we supported all of them and that we would work with each one of them to help move up the ranks, but they needed to ask for the opportunity.

The MidwayUSA Foundation, a national 501(c)(3) public charity in Columbia, Missouri, seeks an experienced Deputy Director. The Deputy Director is a vital part of the Foundation’s senior leadership team, responsible for leading and managing the Programs Group, ensuring compliance with all grant-making and grant-compliance requirements. This role involves working closely with the Executive Director to implement strategic initiatives, enhance organizational performance, and cultivate a collaborative and inclusive work environment. The Deputy Director will provide leadership to Program Managers, Program Coordinators, Marketers, and the Logistics Coordinator, equipping them to succeed in their respective roles.

As the Program Manager (PM) for the West region, you will play a crucial role in growing the Team Endowment Program by encouraging fundraising activities, acquiring new Team Endowment accounts, and providing exceptional support to current account holders. A Production Associate is responsible for front line production needs.  Basic to complex machine operation is required.  This may include the operation of CNC turning and milling machines, assembly work and other duties as assigned.  Visual alertness, hand dexterity and attention to detail are necessary.  The ideal candidate must be flexible and adaptable to change in assignments, and be willing to work overtime and an occasional Saturday, if required.

A Warranty & Repair Associate Level will work as part of the quality team to perform a variety of assessments and repairs on customer returned products.  This is an entry-level position and will work under direct supervision. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to earn commission based on non-warranty repairs.

As a Copywriter, you will focus on technical and brand communications for the Outdoor Performance brands. You will write accurate and on-brand technical product descriptions that convey both the features and benefits of Outdoor Performance products in a manner that is engaging to read and authentic to the pursuits each company is dedicated to. In addition, you will write inspiring and educational marketing copy for print publications and digital marketing communications for brand websites, email campaigns, social media, digital ads, video scripts, and more.

The Graphic Designer is a key factory staff member responsible for creating projects from concept state to post production. The Graphic Designer will proactively work on projects related to print design (advertisements, customer-facing print collateral, PowerPoint decks, and sales collateral) and digital design (website graphic support, web advertisements, and social media content). The Graphic Designer will possess a strong typography skill set and familiarity with serial design (multi-page) projects.
